In late June, I went on a quick excursion to Washington State, near the Snoqualmie region just outside Seattle.

We had two full days there, and therefore went on two day hikes. Both were beautiful, and had the same astonishing characteristic. There were gargantuan trees, worn with age, everywhere you looked. When we reached a peak or a clearing, there were waterfalls and mountains carpeted with forest.

It was amazing to see how an area could be so fully and completely engulfed in mountains and forest so close to a city (Seattle). This short trip left me wanting to return to Washington even more, and explore more little corners of its beauty.’
