The latest blog takeover is being run by my friend Lauren – here’s an introductory note from her and keep your eyes peeled for more of her work coming through the week.
I am a 23 year old Japanese/Hawaiian American currently living in what I believe to be the most beautiful prefecture of Japan, Yamanashi. It is home to Mt. Fuji and throughout the week I stay busy teaching English to high school students.
I really love my job especially the part where I can guide my students in realizing all the potential they possess. They really do inspire me so much. I studied Philosophy in uni and have aspirations to become a university professor of Comparative Philosophy but in the meantime I’m enjoying seeing and experiencing the world through travel and learning about myself and others.
You can usually find me happiest when I have the space to let my mind run wild and ponder on all the ‘deep’ kinds of questions. -What is God like? Does God exist? What is the meaning of life? What is my purpose for being alive? The fact I know nothing fuels me to stay curious and remain a student of this journey we share together.
Isn’t it exciting to think some of our best days haven’t happened yet?
