Hey WordPress!
Just wanna take a moment and share with all of you my latest piece for the Huffington Post AU!

In this piece, I talk about how Imizamo Yethu – a South African township near Cape Town – taught me the importance of understanding that as travellers, we are mere visitors to foreign culture. And with that, there are responsibilities attached with being travellers; including empathy and compassion.

I talk about how a number of travellers who were incredibly rude to the locals, really drew this piece and conclusion out of me.

So please – go check out my Huff Post piece and let me know what you think!

I’m always looking to connect with and feature creatives on my blog.
So if you’re interested, go check out the sawubona section on my site, see what type of content other creatives have shared and get in touch with me!!!

Much love to all!

  1. Sometimes it is good to look at things with fresh eyes. Prejudice is often the result of myth rather than fact. And that can come from both sides from that invisible line of differing cultures.
    Very sensitive piece of writing!
